Messy Church

Messy Church is a way to make Church accessible to families - and a fun place to be.

St Andrew's Elders have thought about holding Messy church sessions for a while - encouraged by Wilma Prentice. We held our first ever Messy even on December 10th 2011 - Messy Christmas.

We have now held our second event - Messy Spring.

Our afternoons began with an hour of crafts - then we had a short chat in Church, from Wilma, and sang a children friendly song, before all sharing sandwiches, sausages, crisps, cake and other goodies.

Each Messy Church session so far has been great fun for all involved - we plan to hold Messy Church sessions 4 times a year at present - look out for our Summer event!

And, as it was almost Easter - we followed the old tradition of painted hard-boiled eggs;

Which turned out to be not too messy at all -

Because we made sure they got nicely dried;

Then we went into Church -
